Congratulations to Rebecca Cook who has passed RICS Assessment of Professional Competence, qualifying as a RICS Chartered Valuation Surveyor.

The Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) is the process by which RICS ensures candidates who wish to become members are competent to practise as Chartered Surveyors. Having completed an RICS accredited degree, the APC requires candidates to complete practical experience through a combination of requirements and competencies, culminating in a final assessment interview.

Rebecca says “the APC is a testing process from recording and summarising your experience, to writing your case study and presenting at final interview. My experience was made easier with the help, support and encouragement I received throughout my training at Vickery Holman. My day to day workload and practical experience was focussed but varied from day one, covering all basis of my chosen competencies. I undertook multiple mock interviews with colleagues who are licenced RICS Assessors, which prepared me as best possible on the day of the final assessment.”

Rebecca is now a member of RICS (MRICS) and RICS Registered Valuer, specialising in Valuation and Business Rates consultancy.
