Vickery Holman successfully tendered for this instruction and were appointed by Cornwall College to undertake a strategic review of these assets. Alan Treloar was lead contact with the College with the instructions then dealt with by each of Vickery Holman’s 3 local offices, as appropriate. Vickery Holman advised on values, compiled and implemented marketing strategies, and negotiated with prospective parties to successfully achieve the desired disposals. The sales have included: a 0.6 acre site with two semi-detached houses in Redruth, sold for development of a small food store; a 540 sqm office building with development potential in Saltash, which is currently under offer; and 2 lots of land totalling 186 acres and 8 residential houses in Bicton, Devon.

This instruction has required a thorough understanding of the College’s objectives and aspirations along with an in-depth knowledge of the local market, values, and negotiation skills. It is demonstrative of Vickery Holman’s ability to handle instructions of this nature and confirmation that they have the required market presence and expertise to deliver results. In undertaking this instruction Vickery Holman have complied with the requirements of working with Colleges, reported to multiple stakeholders in an agreed manner and advised on offers in relation to client objectives. The fees in relation to this combined project are in the region of contract value is £27,000 + VAT and is ongoing.

Vickery Holman are also providing agency services, valuation and strategic advice on an ongoing basis to Cornwall College. Recently this has included marketing advice in respect to student housing, residential development and property strategy.
