The role offers a level of autonomy, supported by a larger overall regional team. Workload will be diverse, which the successful candidate will be able to manage themselves day to day. Carrying out Business Development activities will be essential to continue building a professional network and future workload.

Rating work is carried out for a wide variety of clients ranging from private individuals through to regional and National. The workload will be very broad and will include inspecting a wide range of commercial properties and leisure businesses; advising clients as to the accuracy of their rateable values; submitting Checks and Challenges on behalf of clients; advising on and implementing business rates mitigation strategies and preparing Council Tax appeals.

The role would be suitable for individuals seeking career progression opportunities.

Role & Responsibilities

Role & Responsibilities

Full time Graduate Building Surveyor. We require additional resource in our Plymouth and Exeter offices to facilitate ongoing workload covering minor works, contract admin, design and specification, surveys and project monitoring. We have a number of specialist surveyors in areas such as construction management, building surveys, party wall, defect analysis, and dilapidations. We have worked on a variety of building types from Scheduled Ancient Monuments, the Plymouth Breakwater, Drakes Island, development of industrial estates, new build offices and housing developments, as well as undertaking party wall appointments, dilapidation instructions, planned maintenance surveys within the general range of services provided by a building surveyor.

Experience

Relevant RICS accredited degree.

Training:
Full APC support is provided including payment of all RICS fees. We have a structured training programme, dedicated in house Training Manager and Assessors, with experienced Counsellors and Supervisors across all offices. 2 year fixed contract, with potential extension when qualified.

Vickery Holman are seeking a Residential Valuation Surveyor to play a key role in helping grow the team and service on-going and increasing workload levels, providing market leading advice to a broad range of clients including land owners, residential developers, and banks.

Experience

  • Experience in preparing Red Book Valuations for residential and development property
  • Prior experience of residual/development appraisals would be desirable but not essential

  • Representing the team at business development meetings and events

Role & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Valuation Surveyor located within our Bristol office, covering South Wales to work for our established team. We work for a varied client base, from private individuals, SME’s, and regional and national clients providing a broad range of Valuations including Secured Lending, Pension, Tax, Asset and Acquisition valuations. We undertake valuations on a range of property types including commercial, residential, development, leisure and trading.
