Mark joined Vickery Holman in August 2023 undertaking construction management projects out of both the Plymouth and Exeter Offices.  Mark is utilising his extensive surveying experience including commercial and residential surveys, schedules of condition, pre-acquisition surveys, defects analysis and mitigation along with Technical Due Diligence Studies from a practical understanding and a common sense approach to successful resolution.

Mark has produced many due diligence and construction monitoring reports on both new build and refurbishment projects for a wide variety of funder activities across the region, particularly during the PFI, Building Schools for the Future and Objective One derived finance initiatives. He operates with a sound understanding of building design having worked within Architecture for 15 years before switching to Building Surveying and completing a degree in Plymouth in 1999.

Mark has recently returned from a 13 year spell in Singapore and Vietnam where his specialist knowledge of contract compliance came into its own, heading up the on-site team on the construction of the iconic Singapore Sports Hub, before moving over to Ho Chi Minh City to act as Client Representative and Estates Manager for a UK based International Schools group. Since his return in August 2023 he is re-engaging with Devon & Cornwall, where he has spent most of his working life and gained most of his extensive experience on all forms building types and uses.

Mark is looking to reactivate his passion for underwater photography once his body acclimatises to the non-tropical South-West of England.
