Senior Building Surveyor
Guy is a senior building surveyor practicing for 25 years’ with 15-years specialist knowledge and experience gained dealing with Party Wall, Neighbourly (Crane/Scaffold/Access Licenses) and other Land Law related matters including Boundary Mapping, Determination and Reports, reviewing and interpreting Deeds of Covenant and other easements, determination of historic deeds, party wall Awards, land registry titles and on-site physical features. Undertaking Schedules of Condition of all types of building including historic – Grade I, Grade II* and Grade II buildings/structures and technical due diligence of Client’s development agreements with Third parties and for the party wall process ensuring consistency of agreed documents across phased Awards for multiple adjoining owners. Guy also has experience in a wide range of other fields including but not limited to Pre-Acquisition, Building Fabric, Measured, Planned Preventative Maintenance Surveys and CDM/Health & Safety.
Outside of work Guy enjoys outdoor activities including running, windsurfing and walking completing the 3 Peaks Challenge for the Railway Children, a charity for homeless young people. He also enjoys listening to soulful house and jazz music and going to live music events. Photography of historic post-war listed buildings are also an interest and the subject of his university thesis.
