1981 and moved to open Fleury Manico’s
new office in Truro. Returned to Plymouth
in 1989 as partner in charge of the
Plymouth Office before becoming a founder
partner in Vickery Holman, which took
over the Fleury Manico offices in Truro,
Plymouth and Exeter in 1990.
Over 30 years experience
in Valuation, Landlord & Tenant
and Rating fields. Property specialisms
include Leisure, Education and Health
sectors. Recent notable projects on
which he has advised include the National
Marine Aquarium, the Mount Batten
Watersports Centre, Plymouth Schools
PFI, The Southway Master Plan and
the new Land Registry development
at Seaton Court, Plymouth.
Actively involved
in dispute resolution as Arbitrator,
Independent Expert and Expert Witness.
Past President of
Plymouth Rotaract, and Chairman and
President of Plymouth Round Table.
Current outside
interests include Chairman of Havencare
(Plymouth) Ltd, Director of Brook
Housing Ltd, Trustee Director of Plymouth
Guild of Voluntary Service and Trustee
of the OPM Club.
Member of
Yelverton Golf Club and periodic sailor
including the final leg of the Tall
Ships Race in 1993 from Denmark to

experience of building surveying within
London and the Home Counties prior to
relocating to the Westcountry at the
turn of the millennium. Particular interest
in Party Wall matters and dispute resolution/expert
witness. Undertaken
design and specification of a wide
range of projects from residential
housing estates, secure mental institution,
range of primary, secondary and further
education establishments including
provision of specialise accommodation
such as music seminar rooms. Undertaken
project management of refurbishment
of historic country houses and re-ordering/re-cladding
of 1960’s RC framed building,
contract value (at todays prices)
in excess of £8 million.

| Mark
is a member of the Board and Exeter
Office Director. His particular specialism
is in strategic advice on commercial
property matters, and is an experienced
negotiator and valuer. Also as Head
of Commercial Litigation, has particular
responsibility for promotion and standards
within that field across the Company.
Outside of
work his former sport related interests
have somewhat diminished (but not
disappeared!) on back of new family
responsibilities. |

| Gordon
commenced his career as an Articled
Pupil to J.Paton-Watson OBE, Plymouth
City Engineer in 1956. He went on to
work largely with national and international
civil engineering contractors rising
to Director and General Manager. He
has worked throughout the United Kingdom,
Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
In 1985
he helped to form a business consultancy
in Riyadh and in 1990 he joined Indeco
(International Management Consultants)
Ltd of Weybridge, Surrey and was appointed
a director of the company in 1993.
During this period his responsibilities
included major rail projects, reviews
of purchasing practice with international
companies including the Gessy Lever
Group and the Fortis Bank Facilities
Management organisation.
He is now
semi retired and lives in East Cornwall
where he enjoys setting up and supporting
local businesses and walking along
the coastline and across the moorlands.

| Graduated
from college in Portsmouth in 1992 with
a degree in Land Management and from
there worked for 4 years with Stratton
Creber in Truro before joining Vickery
Holman in 1997. Alan
has been involved in most aspects
of commercial property work including
agency, valuation and Landlord and
Tenant matters.
His experience has
involved all property types from retail,
office and industrial to hotels, pubs
and other going concerns. Alan is
also involved in investment disposals
and acquisitions for certain retained
clients.
Alan has previously
been Office Manager in Truro but has
since taken on responsibility for
Valuation Services across the Company
since July 2004. Associate Director
since 2003.

| Director
– Envoy, Truro |
| Began
with Vickery Holman in 1997 and following
qualification, specialised in Valuation
and Estate Management. Appointed a Director
of Envoy in 2004, Justin now deals almost
exclusively with property management.
Based predominantly
in Truro, Justin is often found lurking
in both the Plymouth and Exeter offices
– working hard of course!

Building Surveyor – Exeter Office |
| Roger
has over 10 years experience in private
practice, graduating from Westminster
University with a construction degree
in 1994, he joined Eckert Bowen in North
London and completed his diploma in
surveying in 1998. Professional status
with the RICS was achieved in 2001 and
a move to Brooke Vincent + Partners
to develop skills in Party Wall matters.
Relocation to Devon in 2004, Roger
joined Vickery Holman taking up the
position of senior surveyor for the
Exeter office and quickly achieved
results for clients on numerous dilapidation
claims, boundary disputes and has
acted on behalf of commercial and
residential clients in accordance
with The Party Wall Etc. Act 1996.
Roger heads the Litigation Stream
which focuses on building surveying
work encompassing dilapidations, party
wall disputes, CDM and development
monitoring on behalf of banks.

marketing and promotion of opportunities
within the Plymouth area on a local,
regional and national scale.

in the agency department and specialising
in land, development and planning.

| Mike
is a chartered surveyor with over 25
years post qualification experience
in Building Surveying in the west country.
He has wide ranging experience in
property maintenance, conversion and
improvement projects, including conservation.
He is well versed in the CDM regulations
and acts as Planning Supervisor on
many occasions.
Regularly conducting building and
site surveys Mike is an authority
on defect analysis and remedy. He
will prepare Schedules of Condition
and Dilapidations and advise thereon,
acting as independent expert in respect
of building and boundary disputes.

hill walking, cycling and swimming.
