Vickery Holman's longest standing member of staff qualifying in 1981. Moved to open Fleury Manico’s new office in Truro and later became equity partner in 1986. Returned to Plymouth in 1989 as partner in charge of the Plymouth Office before becoming a founder partner in Vickery Holman, which took over the Fleury Manico offices in Truro, Plymouth and Exeter in 1990. Nick was appointed Chairman in 2005.
Nick has over 30 years' experience advising both the public and private sectors on Valuation, Litigation, Landlord & Tenant and Rating matters. In addition to the core property types of industrial, office and retail he has specialist knowledge in the leisure, education and health sectors and is actively involved in dispute resolution as Expert Witness, Independent Expert and Arbitrator.
Past President of Plymouth Rotaract, and Chairman and President of Plymouth Round Table. Current outside interests include Chairman of Havencare (Plymouth) Ltd, Director of Brook Housing Ltd, Director and Vice Chairman of Plymouth Guild, Director Routeways Centre Ltd and Trustee of the OPM Club.
Member of Yelverton Golf Club and periodic sailor including the final leg of the Tall Ships Race in 1993 from Denmark to Belgium. |

Valuation Surveyor with over 20 years experience in the Cornish commercial property market.
Specialist in leisure, healthcare and development properties.
Retained by some of Cornwall’s largest commercial property portfolios to provide strategic advice and management based on his breadth and variety of experience drawing in all of Vickery Holman’s different services.
Often leads teams on specific project delivery using a cross-section of Vickery Holman’s staff, services and offices including the development process, planning and grant aid.
An aged sportsman (still talks a good game), panellist with the Princes Trust, Director of the Falmouth Watersports Association, Chairman of Falmouth Pilot Gig Club and private sector representative on the Cornwall Economic Forums Sites and Premises Group and the Cornwall Pure Business inward investment initiative. |

| Head of Agency with a specialist interest in Investment and Development, Mike has over 18 years of experience working for development companies as well as consultant working throughout the south west.
Over the past 3 years he has developed a dedicated investment service with £10-15m of transactions annually.
Interests include family, any sport and walking on Dartmoor.

Extensive experience of building surveying within London and the Home Counties prior to relocating to the Westcountry at the turn of the millennium. Particular interest in party wall matters and dispute resolution/expert witness.
Undertaken design and specification of a wide range of projects from residential housing estates, secure mental institution, range of primary, secondary and further education establishments including provision of specialise accommodation such as music seminar rooms. Undertaken project management of refurbishment of historic country houses and re-ordering/re-cladding of 1960’s RC framed building, contract value in excess of £8 million.

| Mark Pellow BSc (Hons) MRICS |

Mark's particular specialism is in strategic advice on commercial property matters and is an experienced negotiator and valuer. As Head of Valuation and Asset Management, has particular responsibility for the development of the division across the Company’s three offices.
He has been elected as current Chairman of the Exeter Property Group and appointed as Director of Exeter Chamber of Commerce and of Cornerstone Housing Society.
Outside of work his former sport related interests have somewhat diminished (but not disappeared!) on back of new family responsibilities. |

Alan graduated from college in Portsmouth in 1992 with a degree in Land Management and joined Vickery Holman in 1997, later becoming an Associate Director in 2003.
In his 10 years with the company, Alan has been involved in most aspects of commercial property including agency and all property types from retail, office and industrial to hotels, pubs and other going concerns. He has also been involved in investment disposals and acquisitions for certain retained clients. He now heads up the agency team in Truro.
A keen cyclist and family man.

Began with Vickery Holman in 1997 and following qualification specialised in valuation and estate management. Appointed a Director of Envoy in 2004, Justin now deals almost exclusively with property management.
Based predominantly in Truro, Justin is often found lurking in both the Plymouth and Exeter Offices - working hard of course!

Relocation to Devon in 2004, Roger
joined Vickery Holman taking up the
position of senior surveyor for the
Exeter office and quickly achieved
results for clients on numerous dilapidation
claims, boundary disputes and has
acted on behalf of commercial and
residential clients in accordance
with The Party Wall Etc. Act 1996.
Roger heads the Litigation Stream
which focuses on building surveying
work encompassing dilapidations, party
wall disputes, CDM and development
monitoring on behalf of banks.

| Anthony Eke BSc (Hons) MRICS |

Anthony joined Vickery Holman as a general practice graduate surveyor in 2001 after achieving a degree in Land Management at Reading University. He then went on to qualify in 2004 as a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors after gaining a wide range of experience in the commercial market.
Since then, Anthony has turned his attention to development and planning building this specialism within the company, particularly concentrating on residential and mixed use schemes.
He has worked on a wide range of opportunities offering strategic planning advice and detailed development appraisals to produce schemes representing the highest potential return. Following the acquisition of an acceptable planning consent Anthony has successfully marketed a number of development schemes negotiating sales from £100,000 to over £2million. |

Graduated with Building Surveying degree from University of Plymouth in 1999 and subsequently joined Vickery Holman in Exeter, achieving Chartered status in 2003.
Head of Minor Works and Repairs stream and main contact for consultancy services to Royal Mail Group plc and The Salvation Army across the south west region. Areas of work also include Party Wall, CDM Co-ordinator (CDM Regulations 2007) and Project Management of large refurbishment and new build schemes.
Paul also specialises in Programme Management of large-scale survey commissions for national clients.

Mike is a chartered surveyor with over 30 years post qualification experience in Building Surveying in the south west.
He has wide-ranging experience in property maintenance, conversion and improvement projects, including conservation and historic buildings. He is well versed in the CDM regulations and acts as CDM Co-ordinator on may occasions.
Regularly conducting building and site surveys Mike is an authority on defect analysis and remedy. He will prepare Schedules of Condition and Dilapidations and advise thereon, act as independent expert in respect of building and boundary disputes and offer advice in respect of listed buildings. |

Nicola graduated from the University of Portsmouth in 1998 with a degree in Land Management and has worked in both the private and public sector in Truro since 1998, becoming a member of the RICS in 2000 and a member of the Institute of Revenues Rating and Valuation in 2006.
Her experience covers most aspects of commercial property practice including valuation, agency, property management and rating but since joining Vickery Holman in 2004 has specialised in Landlord and Tenant matters and third party disputes.
Nicola has been an active member of RICS matrics for a number of years at both local and national level and Chairperson of the RICS Cornwall Local Association during 2007/2008. Nicola has been on the RICS panel of APC Doctors helping trainee surveyors for many years and is a licensed RICS assessor since 2007.

A very proud Cornishman, who was born and grew up in the Penzance area.
Peter joined Vickery Holman in2001 following completion of a degree course in Land Management at the University of Portsmouth. He achieved his professional qualifications in 2004 and was appointed senior valuer status in 2008. His time with Vickery Holman has involved a wide spectrum of general practice work including agency, landlord and tenant, management and valuation work. His current role is predominantly valuation based providing secured lending advice to a host of commercial lenders, as well as general valuation work for matrimonial, pension fund and other purposes.
Outside of work, Peter’s passion is for sailing and in particular dinghy racing. In 2006 Peter won the National Championship in his adopted Osprey class - to add to the Scottish & Northern, Welsh & Midland and Southern Area Championship titles achieved in previous years.

After obtaining a BSc (Hons) in Rural Estate Management from Seale-Hayne Roberts knowledge was enhanced by working for a couple of regional firms offering work in a variety of sectors including rural, residential and commercial. This experience incorporated a number of job types ranging from helping to operate livestock markets, running a rural estate agency department and assisting a partner with building services, including structural surveys and property management.
Joining Vickery Holman in 2003 Robert achieved MRICS qualification at the end of the same year. Originally he carried out work across the board within the Valuation and Asset Management department including valuations for both secured lending and general purposes as well as a variety of Landlord and Tenant matters. Recently he has specialised on valuation work and now manages valuation services across the Company.
Outside the office life is focused on his young family as well as maintaining an unhealthy interest in the fortunes (or not) of both Somerset County Cricket Club and the England cricket team.

Laura joined Vickery Holman in 2004 after gaining a first class honours degree in Urban Land Economics from Sheffield Hallam University.
Joining the company as a graduate surveyor Laura was based in the Valuation and Asset Management department but her workload covered most commercial aspects, as required by the company’s graduate training program. The range of work and skills that Laura was exposed to in her new position, when combined with the experience gained from her sandwich year working for Sheffield City Council, enabled her to apply for and successfully achieve professional qualification in 2006.
Whilst Laura continues to work on a wide range of professional matters since achieving qualification she has focused her efforts on Landlord and Tenant matters providing advice and negotiating on behalf of a wide range of clients, with a particular interest in rent reviews and lease renewals.

A chartered surveyor since 1995, Ashleigh has a wealth of experience having worked for private practices and local authorities in the west country and southern England.
He is experienced in Valuation and Landlord & Tenant issues, acting for both Landlords and Tenants in matters such as rent reviews, lease renewals and new lettings; advising local and central government departments on compulsory purchase matters; valuation work for various sectors including for taxation purposes and expert witness work. In addition his rating expertise has produced significant savings for a variety of clients. All of which make him a key player in the Plymouth VAM Team.
Outside of the office, Ashleigh is a keen sportsman who tries to compete at any level possible! He is also the current Chairman of Plymouth Round Table and a committee member of Yelverton and OPM Cricket Clubs. |

A former secondary school teacher, Simon is a Chartered Surveyor who joined Vickery Holman in 2002. He now coordinates the Building Surveying team in the Plymouth Office and is the primary contact in the firm for school and educational work.
Other areas of professional interest include planning and building regulations advice, asbestos management, dilapidations and all types of building projects from small refurbishments to new build.
Simon has been instrumental in developing the major projects side of business in the Plymouth Office, working closely with clients in the Health Care, Education and private sectors, providing strategic advice and guidance on space utilisation and building portfolio management. |

|
Neil Stubbs joined Vickery Holman in 2007, he previously worked for a Truro-based firm of commercial surveyors and has been employed in the Cornish property market since 1999.
Neil’s role at Vickery Holman involves all aspects of Commercial Lettings, Sales and Acquisitions. Whilst Neil specialises in the office market, he often gets involved in other sectors and seems to attract the weird and wonderful instructions! He has previously sold former churches, chapels and various parcels of land, as well as having an involvement with a 20,000 sq ft second world war nuclear bunker. Neil is currently dividing and selling an estate to a Carmelite convent as well as selling two former primary schools.
Outside of work, Neil enjoys cycling, kayaking, climbing and boating and he is part of Vickery Holman’s Three Peaks team. |

| Rachael Bromley |

|
Rachael Bromley has been with Vickery Holman for three years and has worked her way from an administrative role to commercial property agent. Rachael specialises in the industrial market and is currently dealing with properties in various locations throughout Cornwall – many of these being industrial estates where Vickery Holman have multiple instructions. In several instances, Rachael provides the link between Vickery Holman’s Agency department and Envoy Property Management.
As a multifaceted member of the team, she has been known to branch out into other property sectors on occasion and has been involved in projects such as the sale of a former care home in Launceston, hybrid units at Bodmin and a business park office development on the outskirts of Truro.
Originally from the Channel Islands and having lived in other worldly locales, Rachael is now happily settled in Cornwall with her husband, who is locally born and bred.
When not touring the county, hanging out in “sheds”, Rachael can be found with her nose in a book or with her family, which gets larger by the day. |

Tom joined Vickery Holman in 2008 and is based primarily at the Truro Office, though he regularly operates out of our Exeter and Plymouth offices.
From 1999, Tom has worked in private practice, mainly in the City of London and the surrounding Boroughs with the firm Cyril Silver and Partners.
Since joining Vickery Holman, Tom has extended his experience in Commercial and Private Surveys, Party Wall matters and Project Management.
His hobbies include surfing, golf, hill walking, cycling and fishing. |

Robert joined Vickery Holman in 2007 as a Graduate Surveyor. Robert worked in object conservation for 20 years with Historic Royal Palaces, The de Young Museum San Francisco and The National Trust.
Robert currently works on minor works projects for a range of institutional and private clients and assists senior colleagues in aspects of major project work.
Robert is working towards RICS accreditation, hoping to qualify in 2010. |

Formerly an estate agent from 1988 to 2001, Richard enrolled as a mature student at Plymouth University and completed his degree in Building Surveying and the Environment. Richard then joined Vickery Holman in 2004 and qualified as a Chartered Building Surveyor in 2007.
His areas of experience include commercial and residential maintenance and refurbishment projects and the undertaking of feasibility studies for a variety of clients. Richard is an experienced Contract Administrator and has worked on projects of varied size, including educational work and residential conversions.
In conjunction with Simon Wheeler, Richard heads up the major projects team in Plymouth. |

Phil joined Vickery Holman in 1997 and is based at the Exeter Office.
Since leaving college in 1978, Phil has gained over 30 years experience in surveying, maintenance and improvement of local charitable housing properties, aided schools and parish properties, initially in private practice working with the Exeter Diocese and with the Plymouth Diocese since joining Vickery Holman.
Phil has gained considerable experience on historic buildings and the undertaking of access surveys.
His hobbies include the Round Table movement, antiques and gardening. |

Alex joined Vickery Holman in 2007 as a Building Surveyor; prior to working at Vickery Holman he acquired three years experience in building construction, working on a range of different projects from the construction of a fully sustainable house to carrying out general maintenance and repair works.
Alex currently specialises in minor works projects, from refurbishment of existing building stock to extensions and demolition works.
Alex has also assisted in a number of large commercial surveys including Admiralty House, Mount Wise House and The Millfields Hospital. |

Alex currently specialises in Project Management of alteration and improvement works at various commercial and public sector properties, preparation of building surveys and has experience working in the Environmental Consultancy sector.
Since attaining chartered status, Alex has provided Building Surveying services to a selection of national and local clients including: Royal Mail Group plc, Various private sector organisations within the Exeter area and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Plymouth. |

Mark has over 10 years experience in private practice, graduating from the Camborne School of Mines (University of Exeter) with a First Class Mineral Surveying Degree in 1998. In 2000, Mark moved to Canada and enjoyed working for Schlumberger on various oil field projects in Western Canada, the Arctic Circle and the Gulf of Mexico.
Mark relocated to Cornwall in 2003 and joined a regional multi-discipline practice working for Rsidential Agency, Commercial Agency, Valuation and Building Surveying streams.
Professional status with the RICS was achieved in 2007 and Mark joined Vickery Holman in 2008, taking up the position of Agency Surveyor in the Plymouth Office and quickly achieving results for clients on numerous disposal instructions.
His hobbies include rugby, cricket, golf, skiing and many other outdoor activities. Mark is an active member of Launceston Round Table. |

| Richard Channing BA(Hons) |

|
With a BA (Hons) Management Degree from Brunel University, Richard spent several years working for the Department of Work and Pensions before deciding to seek a career in accountancy.
Having joined Vickery Holman in 2006 as Accounts Assistant, Richard is part qualified and currently working towards completing the AAT qualification. As well as undertaking the daily accounts duties, Richard is also responsible for Payroll and has an important role as Credit Controller.
In addition to accounts responsibilities, Richard also undertakes various admin roles and was made Office Manager for the Plymouth Office in 2008.
Outside of work, he is a keen sportsman and has obtained several sporting achievements over the years, most notably reaching 1st Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo and winning the Gold medal in the UK championships. Despite playing volleyball for University, football is his main sport and despite the ageing years has recently been playing in the South Western League, although, due to dodgy knees, a kick around in the park is a more suitable pace these days! |
