Edward has worked for Vickery Holman since 2012. Before this, he attended Plymouth University to earn his undergraduate degree in Architecture, Design and Structures before furthering his studies at the University of the West of England to obtain his Post Graduate Diploma in Building Surveying. He has subsequently qualified as a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and works in the building surveying department of Vickery Holman.
Having spent a number of years focusing on project and refurbishment work in local schools and academies, Ed has developed his project management skills to include small extensions and bespoke new buildings. As a result, he now has a wealth of experience in the education sector and with the funding bid processes schools and academies must work within.
Ed is also concentrating on building surveys and asset management plans (AMPs) in the Plymouth office, providing a range of services including building defect analysis, schedules of condition, pre-acquisition surveys and planned maintenance reports. He is fully conversant with the changes to EPC legislation taking place in 2018 and is also working as a Party Wall Etc Act surveyor, in which guise he is a member of the Pyramus and Thisbe Club.
Outside of work, Ed is a keen sportsman and has undertaken a range of challenges with the company. During the summer you are most likely to find him on the golf course!
